Ultra-small PC for under $75? Anything is possible with Android.

When it comes to Android, most of us think of smartphones and tablets. The truth is that there are a wide range of devices that make use of Google’s OS, including the Android Mini PC. Not surprisingly, these things come from China and while they might not be from a well known brand, they pack quite a bit of punch into an ultra-small package.

The Android Mini PC is actually the collaboration of several different Chinese companies, and is found on many sites throughout the net with prices varying from as cheap as $50 to as much as $90. Some of these versions have 512MB of RAM, others have a full gig.

This isn’t the first of its kind, but if you can find it at a low enough price, it’s quite a bargain. This ultra-small PC has a full USB port, a mini-USB, mini-HDMI and works with any TV or monitor that supports HDMI. The processor in the Android Mini PC is a 1.5GHz AllWinner A10 CPU. Again, there are both 512MB and 1GB versions when it comes to RAM. The system also works with most keyboards and mice right out of the box, and even special Android-compatible remote controls do exist as add-on accessories. Best of all, the device has Android 4.0 ICS running out of the box.

Why get a mini Android PC? If you are looking to turn your TV into a smart device, that’s one reason, but really there are many great reasons to invest in mini PCs. This would make a great casual gaming device or even a home to all your classic console games via emulation. Considering its only slightly bigger than a standard USB drive, it also means you can carry this ultra-small PC with you no matter where you go – giving you a way to check the net, play games or media from any TV or monitor you come across.
